On the left is a figure that was part of the Space Attack line of figures from the company Toy Island. His name is Delta-6 and he's an "assault leader" (as his original card would say). On the right is a Biker Scout from the vintage Kenner Star Wars line. Notice any similarities...?
To my knowledge there were only six figures in the Space Attack line, and Delta-6 is the only Star Wars inspired character.
I was at an indoor garage sale or an estate sale or such when I found this figure that looked like a blue Biker Scout. I had a hard time doing any internet research to figure out what it was because all it said on the figure was "TOY ISLAND" "MADE IN CHINA" on its leg and "REPLACEABLE BATTERIES" "USE TWO LR-44 BUTTON CELLS" on its back, behind the jet pack thingy.
This Scout Trooper wannabe comes with a plain white gun connected to a backpack by a tube. There was originally another white gun. To accompany the weapons, the three red buttons on the front of the figure make laser sounds when pressed.
You may be saying, "but I can't tell the two apart! What do I do?" Well, if you're ever in a life or death situation where you need to know Delta-6 from a vintage Biker Scout, all you have to do is pinch their heads. Delta-6's head is made of a rubber-like material and is hollow, so it can be squished easily. The Biker Scout's head is solid plastic.
