STAR WARRIO SOTE FIGURES

These are your classic bootleg figures, right here. They're the Star Warrio Shadows of the Empire (SOTE) gang!

Both Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi come with black colored lightsabers, making them really look more like long sticks or staffs.

I feel bad for this next one. It's classic Luke Skywalker. It took me six months to realize that I forgot to take a photo of him for the site! He must've felt so left out.

He comes with a Stormtrooper's blaster and rifle, instead of Luke's grappling hook and lightsaber.

To get yourself a complete set of these... things, you'll need to get Darth Vader, Leia as Boushh, classic Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Luke in Imperial Disguise, classic Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Stormtrooper, and Yoda. That's twelve in all, folks.

Old Ben's my favorite. He's just ridiculous looking!

Leia looks pretty good compared to the POTF2 monkey one! Just kidding, just kidding...

C-3PO actually doesn't look that bad. Someone might not even notice 3PO was a bootleg if they saw him loose.

As you could see, they're all packed on a SOTE purple card that, for whatever reason (and your guess is as good as mine) has an AT-ST Driver picture on it. Maybe the bootleggers wanted the toy to look as weird as possible, so they chose a character that was never on a SOTE card. The AT-ST Driver also looks kinda confused, which gives it an even weirder feel.

What's up with the name Star Warrio? Did the bootleggers want the toy to be called "Star Warrior" but they ran out of room? Or were they inspired by Mario's enemy, Wario? Was this whole line planned to be a really cool Mario/ Star Wars crossover series? Darth Bowser, Mario Skyplumber, R2-DToad... I'd buy those in a heartbeat, unlike the M&Ms or Disney crossover figures.

The figures are based off their Power of the Force 2 and SOTE counterparts. There's no date on the card or the figures that I could see. The back of the cards are the same on each figure.

These are truly hilarious looking. Just try to keep a straight face while looking at Leia or Obi-Wan!
