They got two major features wrong, though. They forgot to put the "name tag" that says "DELUXE LUKE SKYWALKER" etc. in front of the figure. Also, the back of the card...
It shows a picture of the Deluxe Crowd Control Stormtrooper! And for a second I thought they worked out the major details! The back's from a Canadian tri-lingual (english, spanish, and french) Stormie, which I don't own the licensed version of, so I don't know how correct the bootleg is in comparison. Here's a comparison shot with the licensed english Stormtrooper, though, with the licensed Luke on the left and the bootleg on the right.
As you can see, the cards were cut differently, too.
Let's take a gander at the toy itself. The shirt on Luke's body is more of a tan or off-white than plain white like it should be.
Notice any differences in Kenner's Sport Skiff?
The design is changed throughout, including colors and the applied stickers.
There's more Deluxe bootlegs where that came from. There's a Biker Scout with Speeder Bike, Han Solo with Smuggler Flight Pack, Crowd Control Stormtrooper, Swoop Trooper with Swoop, and a TIE Fighter Pilot with Speeder Bike. All of those are packaged on a tri-lingual Deluxe Stormtrooper card.
I've also seen pictures of bootleg figures packed on a Deluxe Han Solo card. There's a Biker Scout with Speeder Bike, Han Solo with Smuggler Flight Pack, Crowd Control Stormtrooper, and Swoop Trooper with Swoop.
There's also a Darth Vader and an IG-88 figure packed on a Deluxe Luke card.
